Ennahda’s rich ally Qatar

Ennahda needs the Qatari propaganda machine to disseminate its “positive image”. Influential media outlets such as Al-Jazeera, Al-Araby al-Jadid, and Al-Quds al-Arabi are undoubtedly valuable assets to have on its side as the elections approach.

Qatar is said to have provided financial backing for Ennahda. Even though jihadism is receding in Tunisia, it has far from disappeared from the African continent. Those extremists could be easily transport back to Tunisia as long as Qatar’s money continue to flow to Brotherhood.
